Mars, in Roman mythology was the God of War – strong and fit and clothed in red. Planet Mars can be clearly seen as a bright, red and clear dot in the skies.
Jupiter, was the father of the new Roman pantheon, the biggest God of all, and its function is to enlarge and exaggerate any feature of the planet it conjuncts to – for better or worse.
These days, an hour before the Sun rises, you can clearly see the two planets very close to each other in the morning skies, to the East. Near them you will also find Venus, as she gets closer and closer to Mars every day.
Something that cannot be seen by the naked eye, but also affects us a lot these days is that the Sun is now entering the Realm of Creation, and doing so, it exactly opposes mighty Uranus – known in Roman mythology as the First Creator.
When the two planets, Jupiter and Mars, conjunct – Mars gets activated, for better or worse. This happens with every conjunction as the planets involved get “activated”. But Jupiter also exaggerates and enlarges the influence of the planet it conjuncts. And in the case of Mars, and taking into account the situation in the world today – this seems to make for not very good news.
Mars’ elaborated power echoes over us now, and on the world, and it will continue to do so for the next two weeks. Mars is pumping the blood with lots of energy and strength – and it is up to us to choose what we do with this power. The most common response for this conjunction would usually be the growth of violence, But as we choose to do good and productive things with Mars’ energy – we set in the world a better option than taking this energy into anger and rage. If we take the less obvious path, we can make the path of peace the more potent one in the world, the more people choose it.
Global effects begin with the individual and when many individuals together choose productivity over war – this can become the new reality.
These days it is more than ever so with the Sun entering the Realm of Creation and opposing Uranus – a position that really comes to teach us that we are the masters of the reality. It comes to remind us that we can invent our own reality and create it, starting with the power of our mind and thinking out of the box.
